Want to recover lost data-please help :(
I have lost around 5 GB of data from partition j of my hard drive. It appears that the files were deleted accidentally. This data is very important to me-i'll be in great trouble if i am unable to recover it.Among the lost data, there was a large .iso file that i require urgently.I have tried using various recovery softwares like Undelete plus, stellar data recovery etc but to no avail. Will it be possible for me to recover the lost data? Please help, this is a matter of great urgency!

Re: Want to recover lost data-please help :(
If you have not done any read-write operations on the disk where the files where deleted you you may be able to retrieve some data by using certain recovery software which may cost you a bomb. It may be better if you hand over the disk to a qualified computer technician without doing any more activities on the disk. Even then chances of getting corrupted files is quite high.
Anyway best of luck.

Use TestDisk First!
To recover deleted files, you can use FormatRecovery!
You can also opt for Data Rescue by Prosoft, which works in Linux!

Re: Want to recover lost data-please help :(
It is possible to recover lost data and files through data recovery softwares once i used Kernel for FAT and NTFS hard disk data recovery software for the recovery of deleted data and files from my hard drive which was accidentally deleted by me and then i used it, it recovered all my data instantly. It has a user friendly interface in which user can preview your data and files in scan mode and has the choice to save all at once or some selective files to your location. It can recover data from hard drives. flash drives, memory cards etc.

Re: Want to recover lost data-please help :(
What was the size of the video??? Also have you done any read write operation after you deleted it ???
If the file size was big then its hard to get it back smaller files are easier to recover.

If size is this big then I don't think you'll be able to recover it.
