Random Hang
Nowadays I am suffering random hang every second now & then . Though the system recovers from hang within few seconds itself its quite frustrating. these hang increase when i surf the internet irrespective of the browser. I am using Windows 7 and my config is in my signature.
I am using ESET NOD 32 antivirus updated till today.

Re: Random Hang
Well I guess you are missing the opyimization.
1. Defrag and optimize your HDD
2. Clean your Registery
3. Defrag your Registry
4. Optimize your startup
5. Clean up your disk space (I mean disk cleaner)
Do these things.

Re: Random Hang
Have you tried to defrag your registry???
Also use Defrag and optimize option from Auslogics disk defrag for HDD defrag and optimize its settings
I mean go to settings and then Algorithms Tab and select to move system files to beginning of the disk.

@mohit, which firewall is installed in your system? or you may try downloading emsisoft antimalware & give a thorough scan of your system drive.

Re: Random Hang
Thanx Sam will try use it not using any firewall right now
@ techfreak will use this scanner but i am reluctant to change ESET its just so lite on system resources.. Thanx
Well u tried techfreak's suggested online scanner and it found one trojan and one worm and it fixed it but now my system is getting too slow infact there is a difference in when i type and it comes on screen.
It won't let me use bitdefender online scanner and hangs the system.

What shall i do >>

F-secure has been chosen as the product of the year for the past year by av comparitives . But i can hardly comment on that _ never used !
But you should really have Avira free !
Also after installation in avira startup mode select Safe mode !
Also it has low false positive and low resource

It can be a False positive also ! It doesn't mean it should be real !
Also if you Don't have firewall,go for Comodo free or PC tools free !
Scan with emisoft antimalware ( free mode ) if problem persists
Hope it Helps !

Re: Random Hang
Open up your task manager and see which process is hogging up your computer during the hang. Report back that process here.

Re: Random Hang
Get Avira freee according to me.
Do a scan using Malware Bytes Antimalware. Its a good piece of software.
And do a complete PC Scan with the online AV I suggested.

Dude take essential care while deleting the files or repairing because they might be system files as false positive.

It was showing a randomly named exe in system 32 and when i googled exe it was't showing up so i think it was a infection only.
Thanx for all your support guys .
I think i will go for a clean reinstall. ( as every new scanner is founding more of them)

Explore your processes !
I would recommend you to try emisoft antimalware ( free mode ) - ya free
And do a complete scan for more ...... !
REMEMBER : having Antivirus alone won't keep malware away
Some nasty malware needs to be manually treated nastily !
And you can explore your processes and active connections with Hijack free ( comes with that itself )
Check For some unusual activity / process / MAINLY active connections

Re: Random Hang
Either a particular update is screwing up your PC/It is your antivirus. Try changing the latter first.

Re: Random Hang
Eset NOD32 is as good as Avira. There wasn't any need to get rid of it.
Most likely a driver issue. Also try memtest86.

Didnt you receive a CD/DVD with the motherboard and graphic card? Those have the proper drivers. Try installing those.

If so was your answer then problem might be in your drivers or something like that ...
Follow as the above person said !
You would probably have a CD/DVD along with your hardware !
