Windows gadgets stopped working

I tried to install a gadget from net. It was probably something like computer status gadget. As soon as I tried to install it, the windows gadgets crashed. Afterthat whenever I try to launch them, it says windows gadgets stopped working.

How to resolve this problem.
I use windows 7 home basic.

try uninstall and reinstall gadget feature from add and remove program >features


also try deleting the .gadget u downloaded from net from below folder

C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\

Restore your system and don't install that gadget you downloaded.

Its a problem on UAC. If you turned it off, turn it back on.

This..

OR try running the gadget in admin mode. Right click the gadget an click run in Admin mode!
OR the gadget itself maybe corrupt! Try some other similar gadget.
