Frequent connection drops in windows 7

Hi....I recently switched to windows 7 professional 64 bit(on the laptop).....the problem I am experiencing now is that my wired internet connection does not seem to work on it.Everytime I switch on the router (UT-304R2) my connection will run for sometime and then it drops.It will run for a few seconds if I restart the router,and then drop again.Now the same connection worked fine on windows 7 32 bit as well as windows xp sp3.Also,if at all i decide to switch to win 7 32bit...will it change my life considerably??

did u install 64 bit wifi driver from ur laptop manufacture site ? or using default driver came with 64 ?

srry if wasnt clear there...i am not using a wifi router...its a wired connection....and i have never had any driver for the lan router......i would just plug it and it'll work.....

Only if you have RAM more than 4GB. Otherwise there is no difference for you.
