How to dual boot Windows & Ubuntu?
Hello everyone!!
I have got Windows Xp installed on my pc but i want to run Ubuntu also.. Pls. let me know the process.. that how can i dual-boot?
Friends, I had installed Cent IS 5.5 along with xp but the problem was that the Cent os occupied the whole of my empty space on my hard disk.. Means, i have got a 320 gb hdd.. got a 50 gb partition for Xp and rest for my data..
Pls. let me know that how can i make a manual partition of say about 30 or 40 gb & install ubuntu on it.. Also, which ubuntu version works better in dual-boot with XP??

Re: How to dual boot Windows & Ubuntu?
Windows should be installed first because if installed after ubuntu then it rewrites the boot manager thus gaining access to windows only although you can make ubuntu work then also but its full of hassles.

Re: How to dual boot Windows & Ubuntu?
Here is what I do:
- Install Windows
- Install EASEUS Partition Master
- Create an NTFS partition (15GB) for Ubuntu
- Install Virtual Clone Drive or Daemon Tools
- Mount Ubuntu ISO and select "Install inside windows"
- Install it in the 15GB partition created in Step 3
- Forget about Windows unless work demands that I use it
