Default Harddisk software

I have heard some external harddisk of brands like LACIE come with preinstalled software which gives a significant improvement in their peerformance . Is there any other software which can be used in all other harddrive.

I have following external drive:-
80 GB WD
160 GB WD
1TB SEAGATE

One internal desktop HD
SEAGATE 250 GB

Go to WD's and Seagate's sites and check if they have softwares for your products.
You haven't mentioned the exact name of products so I can't tell if it's there. Check out the following links -

WD Support / Downloads / Select Product
Downloads: Hard Drive Installation & Computer/PC Diagnostic Software | Seagate

GoFlex does come with its software bundle already on the disk when you buy it... I have got 3 of them, which I bought over 4 years, all of them came with it.

Actually they don't improve performance at all. Just make sure you defragment your hard disk regularly that will do the job.
And one question what do mean by improving performance??? Read and Write speeds???
I don't think that can be increased by some software at all. Just make sure to keep your disk clean and optimized and that'll do.

Then there is nothing you can do to increase it because its hardware you know ou can't expect E4400 to run as Q6800 now can you?? Just keep your disks up and you are good.
