Firefox Problem

I have been suffering this problem in firefox since a long a time. Whenever I try to download a file it stops on its own like firefox would show downloading at x kbps but there would be no progress going on in real time and to cure this i will press pause and then press play again . I am really frustrated about this I used firefox 3.6.15 since i first encountered this problem. Yes i have taken the obvious step and updated the firefox to firefox 4.0

That ain't browser issue, may be your ISP, duuno, have you tried another browser?

is uTorrent or other program running ??

you can download : NetBalancer - internet traffic control and monitoring tool

check traffic of processes. give firefox the highest priority.

if that fails, install other browser, e.g Opera, see if the problem persists.

if yes maybe your router has gone haywire. try changing the ports

This happens with me too. Why not use a separate browser just to download?

Copy paste download link into Internet Explorer and click download.

Try using latest Firefox.

This is most probably ISP's problem and not browser.

Do you have any other software using net when you download?

What is your internet plan because if you use from from mobile then it will occur mostly in other case use opera for downloading.

^^ its reliance 300kbps so what i have concluded is it is a probelm with f reliance only

Maybe. Be sure to first install firefox clean without any add ons whatsoever and check and also check this with other browser if this problem persists with every browser then its the fault on your ISP part.

facing a new prob with FF.

page loads elements are rendered and then stops automatically and every thing clears out

Its probably due to slow connection. Please do speed test and post results.
Try using Internet Explorer and see if its having same error.

Google Chrome is best browser no so I also reccomend you to use that.
