shutdown problem!

Hi friends,
My laptop dosent shutdown
I am using windows 7 and when i press shutdown or restart, it dosent work!! but hibernate only works..

Click Start
Click Run
Enter gpedit.msc in the Open box and click OK
In the Group Policy settings window

Select User Configuration
Select Administrative Templates
Select System
and search there for your issue by enabling or disabling related setups. It may help you

There could be 2 problems.

You might have virus or many open applications.
