well as pointed out; windows blinds went heavy on my resources as well. but see we will have diff point of views on this=stardock lovers will definitly defend this
but i honestly think; from my personal experiencs with various shells and theme replacements i do think that nothing comes near to aston and talisman. well very light on the resources'actually they take even less ram then windows itself. and very good themes too.

I prefer WindowBlinds Enhanced over any other Desktop enhacements. Have you ever used WindowBlinds Enhanced version? It is not at all system hungry. In the screen shot the author Frogboy has used several things - WindowBlinds Beta 5, ObjectDock Plus, Rainlender, IconPackager, may have used a Bitnic and DesktopX also. If you use all of them as system startup item, then it must be a huge startup - no doubt about that. I think the ss (Screen Shot) looks like Vista ss - isn't it?

http://www.thinkdigit.com/forum/view...=226371#226371 DesktopX is a program that can apply theme on desktop. In 1998 Stardock announces Object Desktop for Windows. Amongst its core features would be a program that would change the look & feel of the Windows GUI (WindowBlinds) and a program that would extend the Windows desktop to support true objects (DesktopX). In 1999 Teams up with developer Alberto Riccio to lead the project. DesktopX Whitepaper released. It envisioned a program that would extend Windows to support "live objects" that could have scripts of any scripting language attached to them. Clocks, calendars, MP3 players, Factory monitoring, Stock tickers, system resource monitoring are the kinds of things one might want to have on the desktop. Things that don't make sense to have as a full blown application but are still useful. For more: http://www.stardock.com/
