Can't EMAIL anyone

I am using yahoo mail from a long time. But this is the first time that I receive the emails from my friends but can't deliver them.If there is any virus on my computer then how can I know? I have the licensed version of Kaspersky 2011 for one computer. I can't update it. After 20% success of update, it pops up notifying that "error checking files."
What can I do?

i'm having problems sending emails to others since the time I created my gmail account in late 2008.
whenever i send any e-mail or it with an attachment, it always return to me saying something like acc. disabled.
plz tell ,e something about it or how to fix it.

Which acc. is disabled?
ur's or the receiver's ?
