First of all, disable automatic reboot on system failure:

WinKey+Pause/Break -> Adv. System Settings ->Startup & Recovery Settings ->Uncheck 'Automatically Restart'.

Now when the next time it crashes, you should note down the error code and message. See if it lists any driver or system file. Try a google search for the same if you want to try your hand at solving it yourself.

And please upload the DMP file somewhere other than uploading.com.

Your information is vague here. Blue Screen is a classy windows problem that happens because of many reasons. From the dust particle in your RAM slot to recently installed program that installed legacy driver.

So, you have to tell what happened recently. Like installed programs, drivers, etc. If you lot track of what you have installed go find it in Event log(type "Even log" in start menu)

In any case... restore it to the date where it was safe. And, don't restore in normal mode. Restore in Safe mode. Or try manually installing recently installed programs. If everything fails.. there is this secret weapon called Reinstalling the operating system.

The error is "STOP: 0x0000008e (0xc0000005, 0x82ec54b5, 0x9d2870f4,0x00000000)"

Sorry for this very long delay. Had left for Bangalore before I could reply.

1. How old is the system, how old is the OS and from when are you getting the error?
2. I assume the PC is assembled, did you assemble it yourself or your local vendor did it?
3. Is the OS legal or pirated?
4. When you see the STOP message, can you note down the full details that come with it and post it?
5. Can you figure out what drivers and software were installed around the time the problems started?
6. Can you get your hands on spare RAM that you can use to check if the RAM in your system is faulty? Alternatively, if you have two RAM modules, you can remove and try one at a time to see if the problem goes away.

1. The system is fairly new, around 2-3 months or so. The error from the beginning itself.

Noticed it when I installed MacDrive (to read my HFS+ partition). Uinstalling and restoring it back helped reduce it frequency. I don't know if its related.

2. No, got it from a vendor.

3. Ummm.

4. Yes.

5. No extra softwares or anything. Just installed the basic needs. And in softwares Avast, Office, Chrome, VLC.

6. Spare RAM not possible, no one owns a DDR3 nearby. Also cant remove a stick, have a 2GB on one stick itself.

Below is the image of the error.

looking at your BSOD error msg its difficult to figure out which specific driver/ corrupt system file is causing this(unless some geek at the forum can decipher the 0 and 1's).
My suggestion:
1. Keeping in mind the symptoms you have mentioned, just get hold of the windows 7 dvd and do a fresh reinstall.

2. If you dont have much data in your hard disk then to rule out any system partition error; delete the existing partitions during new installation and create altogether new partitions.

3. After installation of win 7, do not install any additional softwares for 1-2 days and check the performance of your pc. Does it still show up the BSOD!! If yes then the culprit could be HDD, RAM, MOBO any one of them, but atleast you will be able to focus on anyone of them.

4. While installing win 7, just make sure that no additional peripherals are attached to the PC i.e. Printer/scanner/bluetooth dongle/multimedia card reader etc. And dont attach them till you are sure of your problem.

The above method is a crude method of finding your problem but I have realised that just like our car and bikes, only we can figure out what is best for our system in such difficult cases and thus handle our respective "DHANNO".

Since you have few software, format and reinstall Windows after backing up data. If problem persists, get a memory testing software and check it out...
