Windows 7, Sound driver Problem.. Please help me out

Hi All,

I got windows 7 activated pack OS from my friend and i installed windows 7 ultimate on my PC:

PC configuration:

Mercury Mother board 945,

Intel Processor 2.66 Ghz, 2 GB DDR2 RAM etc etc..

As my friend said, i need not to install any drivers if i do windows 7 OS,

But after installing windows 7 ultimate version (while installing it displayed many versions) .. i am not able to hear sound.. so i thought sound drivers has not been installed.

So i used my mercury drivers 945 board CD, it contains drivers for winxp/2000 and vista.. I tried to install vista..but it said that i cannot install those drivers. I somehow installed AC Realtek audio, but i am not able to hear sound...


Please help me out guyzz... i dont have much knowledge about windows 7..

Go to mercury website and search for your motherboard drivers for windows7 os.

or else if u have internet connected to tht system, u can select to search drivers in tht device manager..
