Google account sync problem with Android

Hello,
I have just purchased hTC wildfire. I have
Vodafone connection & activated unlimited gprs(2 GB of Rs.95/-).

The problem is when ever I try to sync with google account,
it says:

"This could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services".

I can tell that there is no problem with the SIM card, as I can browse internet perfectly with it.
Also with my other phone (nokia N81) google maps, gmail..etc(apps) works smoothly.

After googling i found(with full of surprise)this is a 1 year old bug, & only solution is hard-resetting the phone.Is there any other way to get it worked?
Plz help.
