Default MSI 890GXM G65 sound low

This is my setup-

Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz
MSI 890GXM G65
Gskill Ripjaws 1600 Mhz 6 GB DDR3 Kit
Powercolor ati radeon 5850 1 gb ddr5 graphics card
Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB
Corsair TX750W

I have installed windows xp sp3 and installed all the updates and drivers, but the sound levels seem to be unusually low. With everything turned on full, the sound still is at about 40% strength of my old system. Although, my old system had a creative sound card and this one uses a realtek hd audio chipset. But i still dont think the difference would be that much. Any ideas?
