Default PC not booting


i am facing this problem from this morning.i run window xp sp2.pc won't boot after POST.Screen is just black,HD led is either always red or doesn't glow at all,
i have found out that when disconnected my sats dvd burner and Ide hard disk,pc boot normally.but when i connect them,problem arises.
what to do ,is it a hardware problem?please help!!

u have 2 hard disks? that may be causing the issue or maybe u need a PSU with higher output.

it won't even start with dvd burner attached.it was running goog day before.Btw i only use second HD for backup only.

that is weird, when i select hard disk as first in boot order.pc don't start.but if i select dvd drive as first boot and hard disk as second.it starts.
what is happening here.

pull the jumper out of your IDE HDD, things should start working.
