I was fascinated with the desktop made by the "Himanshu Rao" who
stood 1st in my desktop contest in june 2010 edition. i want to know
what software he used to decorate his desktop.

1)Some softwares like rainmeter (Rainmeter.net) and really good for customising desktops.
2) Try BumpTop, which is also a cool desktop customising software.
3) CircleDock (Did you know? Circle Dock was a N.A.N.Y. Project at DonationCoder!?!!! - Circle Dock) and rainmeter form an excellent combination for customising desktops!
