Tips on using a RSS reader

Hi i want to know which one among the several RSS readers is good.? I prefer text based interface like old opera versions. I searched for reviews online but not able to zero it up.. Any suggestions.?

It would be great if it has Outlook like interface, Stand alone reader (pref portable) & can work with Gmail (so can import my current OPML Gmail reader file)

Stick with Feed Demon.

As i have daily updates 550+ subscriptions and 2 lakhs news items in my database, Feed Demon is the only application in the universe have rich features and most stable one. This is my personal opinion after spending several months for searching the best one.

as far as i know, there is no portable version..

Feed demon is only for reading rss/podcasts with great features. it can also be synched with Google Reader..

If you want integrate mail accounts with rss reader, large collections of softwares are available.
omea pro, Outlook, thunderbird, lot of firefox addons, etc... just google it.
