Default blue screen error message


Hello,
my system con fig are 4 GB ram ,500gb hard disk ,i3 processor 2.27GH.
it came with windows7 home-basic.
when i install Xp.setup starts and after some time ...blue screen error message comes
and system restarts.this happen every single time i try to install Xp.
what can be the probable solution for the problem

hey that blue screen has to come(the first 1 minute when the os loads the drivers onto memory...if thast what you are talking abt..dunno)....but the problem that its restarting is strange........probably the disc is corrupt.....get a fresh disk....or call for tech support from microsoft.....but i guess ...i dont find the reason you are installing xp again....win 7 basic seems fine.....if there's any problem in installing programs or compatibility.....post that here i may be able to help you then......until then.....the dvd setup files seem corrupt ...thats it......

u know i had the same problem with my new laptop and i called up the technicians from acer they told me to reset my lappy to factory settings and that helped try it and i hope it would help you too

hey tarundham.....the op doesnt need to reset to factory setting....getting a correct fresh installation disk would work.......i said it before...reinstalling xp is a bad idea....(dunoo u my have some reason) but....what i can find as a solution is .....getting a new installation disk
