Default Software for scanning

Plz suggest a good software for scanning books, if it has OCR than very good

I also want to use my descrete scanner as photocopier with my descrete printer, If software can do that without saving the file than it will rock!!

Which scanner do you have. Most of the scanners provide OCR softwares with them.

OEM OCRs , like HP sucks
