Question Modem is "ON". Will data tarnsfer w/o dailling?

Hi guys, i want to know that if my modem is "ON" But i didn't connect INTERNET by dialer, is there any possibility of data transfer or data usage? because i sleep at 12am by switching ON modem & PC. I'm using "BB Scheduler" to set timer for Dialer Auto Connect at 2:10am and Disconnect at 7:50am. And scheduled other d/w manager like IDM & uTorrent. What will happen in between 12am-2am if only Modem and PC is ON.

BB PLAN: 500c+ night unlimited 2am-8am

data transfer will not take place until u r connected to internet. but if their is a virus/trojan/spyware which is able to connect to internet then yes it will be serious, if ur PC is clean, then dont worry.

What's a dialer? I know you are using BSNL broadband which you have mentioned in one of your threads yesterday. There is no dialer for BB, it is always on!

I have not used BB Scheduler but as as far as I know it disables/enables the LAN connection which is used for accessing internet. Do not worry, until it is disabled even though modem is ON...no data transfer can take place...

^^ There's something called Bridged mode, where you use a dialer. Your modem is in PPPOE mode, which is always-on.
