Default adobe failed to load core DLL

i had a win xp sp2 system & everythin was goin fine. when i installed sp3 adobe started showing problems.

everytime i clicked on reader or acrobat it always shows

"adobe failed to load its Core DLL".

i tried reinstalling it but it didn't help.
i searched adobe forums. some possible solutions were
1. u might have CA anti virus (i have avast)
2. u have firefox ( i dont have it)
3. reinstall it (already tried)

i have installed foxit reader but i still want adobe

Try these steps:
1. Uninstall Adobe Reader and reboot the system
2. Download and install CCleaner from here:
CCleaner - Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download
3. Run CCleaner and click "Options" tab. Here, click "Advanced" button and uncheck the option "Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 24 hours". Now, click "Cleaner" tab and click "Run Cleaner". Once CCleaner deletes all unwanted files, click on "Registry" tab and click "Scan for Issues". If CCleaner finds any registry issues, click on "Fix selected issues" to remove them.
4. Reboot the system and install latest Adobe Reader again.
