Weird irfanview problem

This is problem I am facing for quite sometime.
Whenever I open image and then close it using irfanview,the window (not windows) doesn't respond to any of my actions such as arrow keys or even shift+del for a few seconds.It happens to any folder,even folder with one or two images.
I know it is weird, and couldn't find anything about this on internet.
XnView works fine when I tried.But I didn't liked that.
Has anyone faced similar problem or have a solution?

Try reinstalling IView.
