HELP Unable to download with Chrome!

Guys, I got CHROME installed and the problem is i am not being able to download anything using it from www.download.cnet.com. When on this page http://download.cnet.com/3001-18510_...&part=dl-85737 [and similar download pages] instead of giving me the file for download i get the "Oops! Google Chrome could not find software-files-l.cnet.com" message http://software-files-l.cnet.com/s/s...=setup_ais.exe

what should i do? Files that download from other sites such as Opera 10.x.x.x form the official website are corrupted. The bottom line is i am not being able to download anything. Please advise what should i do.
Running Windoes XP Professional SP2 Avast Antivirus free 5 Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 Trial.

are you getting any error code ??
btw it is highly undesirable to have two antiviruses at the same time. better uninstall one and stay with one

No error messages as such other than the page i mentioned about. and i thought that antivirus and internet security wirk differently. please help.

Dont add www in front of the URL

download.cnet.com is working for me while www.download.cnet.com isn't

and i do agree with celldweller1591, remove one of the antiviruses

even i cant download from download.com and download.cnet.com in chrome. i wonder whats the problem.

chrome is working fine for me when downloading stuff via cnet .

Yes Chrome has this unusual problem. I've experienced this on many PCs with Chrome installed.

I came here to see a solution, can someone enlighten us please??
