Window XP installation key???

I have borrowed and installed window xp(Wipro) in my PC from my frnd. Whn I am trying to register my software with supplied key it is telling that the software is not geniune. Even telephonically I am not able to get new key. I there any universal key availabe for registration?
I am left with only 5 days to register my product. What will happen if I dont do that?
Pls help with solution.

well, there is no universal key. If you bought it, contact microsoft for support or contact your vendor.its not taking the key that clearly means that you are given a fake key or it is already in use . We at TDF donot support piracy at all. Ask your friend about the key problem .

According to Windows licensing terms, the retail version can't be 'borrowed' just like you did. It can be installed on a single PC at a time and NOT more than that. And in your case, it seems the key you're are using is already blacklisted. The best legal way to solve the problem is to buy a new retail version of Windows if you want to stick with Windows. Otherwise you can try Linux, another type of operating systems which can be installed on your PC.

Just to inform, there are ways to bypass the mandatory activation procedure of Windows. Unfortunately, that is illegal and beyond our scope of discussion here. I personally suggest buying a new copy of Windows or downloading any suitable linux distro.
