Default Frequent standby


Guys i have big problem in my pc. It automaticly standbys and when start again the bios opens up. But i cant click any buttons the keyboard gets locked it doesnot respond. After some time my pc starts but again it goes back to standby mode. I have rebooted xp but no solution. My cofig-pentium dual core 2.2 ghz 2 gb ddr2 ram 80+320gb hdd,gf 9400 gt 512, 450 watt.

check smps for power faults on other system

open cabinet - clean procy heat sink - apply good thermal paste (cpu overheat)
had similar prb once

check your hard drives. they may be failing . i had the same problem when one of my hard disks had bad sectors !

My harddrives are ok i think cause when i remove the keyboard it starts fine. A faulty power supply may be the problem, before 450 i had a 250 watt smps. How to cheak faulty power suply?
