XP Message after start up!

Hi,

I have compaq evo series laptop P4 XP and Avast and online armor installed.
I am recently getting message-

The procedure entry point DrawShadowTex could not be located in the dynamic link library COMCTL32.dll
and message when shutting down could not be read.its like could not because window is shutting down like message.

I think its interfering with my net connection!sometimes opens and then NOT.

Also when yahoo chat room log- in my LT freezes over almost 2 minutes and then only chat room starts.

Is there any body there! to help me!

i mean before the Login page or after login..

Seems blessing in disguise,the MSG no longer runs but my yahoo chat room connection still freezes after joining room.

Any shots for that!?
