Question How to setup VPN

I need to access a windows 2008 server at my office via VPN. I know this is possible by dialing into the server.. but not sure exactly how to do it. can anyone with network experience let me know how to achieve this.

I need to add my home PC to our office network when I am working at home.

Check this tutorial for VNC - Sharing desktop remotely using real VNC

I want to access the shared folders on my office machine via VPN, and also to download latest project commits from SVN. accessing the server without VPN will become a security issue that why I want to use VPN.

@Charan
I think these links might help you:

1) Setting up a VPN server in Windows XP (I think it can be done in a similar way for Win 2008 too): http://www.zdnetasia.com/insight/net...0223c-1,00.htm

2) And then connecting to a VPN network is pretty simple: http://compnetworking.about.com/od/v...nwindowsxp.htm

@Krishnandu.sarkar
You can also try TeamViewer for your purpose. http://www.teamviewer.com/index.aspx

Hi,
U can do so by going to www.logmein.com. register here and then install the client in the target system then add it to logmein.com. Next when u will login to that site > there is an remote option > click there and U can take remote desktop to that system.
