Default Re: Is it safe to format the d drive of my sytem?

hello
here is something u can do
insert the win 7 disk choose new installation n at the time to select partiton just format d: where xp resides n quit
i have tried this method successfuly in xp,vista n fedora 10
in case ur system doesnt boot
pop in ur win 7 disk & there must be repair option as it used to be in xp n vista
in xp i used the fixmbr n fixboot but in vista it was simply as an option " check for the soln why vista is not booting" u click the option n u are done
i have not tried it in win 7 but there must be an option similar to repair the boot prob as in vista

hope that helps n plz let me know the results
