Default Formatting Vista


I was using Vista on my primary partition C:\ and hv installed Windows 7 RC today on a second partition G:\
Can any1 tell me how can I Format C:\ through Windows 7, as it not allowing so (c:\ being a system partition)
Due to unknown reason, I could not boot through Windows 7, so couldn't format it through the setup

You cant format vista as it's your booting partition and boot.ini is in c:

boot through vista disc and format the c: drive (Beware you will not be able to boot in windows 7) and format windows 7 (i.e G, then reinstall windows 7 in any partition you like.

the soln by gaurav must work
but sometimes vista doesnt allow u to do so then use a diskmanager that is capable to format ntfs disks
