Arrow Best codec for video conversion?


Pls tell me best codec for video conversion you know which have high compression ratio?

Like h264 have high compression ratio.

Which is the best codec for video conversion.

If you want to play the videos on the pc ,use xvid.If you to play them on a home theater,use divx(xvid is not supported by many systems).For movies a bitrate of 900-1000 kbits/sec is enough for good quality at high compression.

Also,if you have good processing power and a lot of time go for 2-pass encoding.
