agree with saurav, lots of ppl have fried their pcs using unknown 3rd party installers. autopatcher does the stuff for me.

i just extract the updates file from autopatcher ... and install them manually ....

nise download!! you just have to be carefull... watch for what you install!! but i still suggest "autoupdate"

better still download each file from microsoft downloads section and save it in a rar or zip archive and share it with only those who trust you.

my winxp has automatic update on. Now and then it downloads something, and ask me to install it.

I have never installed autopatcherXP, what autopatcherXP provide that ms automatic update does not? can somebody give me the answer...

It saves you the effort of downloading each update. Plus it has extra stuff like themes, screensavers and some tweaks.
