How to boot from Pen-drive an install Windows?

I have a bootable Windows Vista on a USB Pen drive which boots perfectly at my HP Laptop but does not boot on my desktop (ASUS M3N78-EM Motherboard, AMD Phenom 9650 Quad-core 2.3 GHz Processor with 2GB RAM. What may be the possible problems?
