I've installed K-Lite Mega Codec pack and it plays .mov files but when I click on a link of a trailer in my Firefox, nothing happens.

Mozilla Firefox + flashgot addon

Step 1: Go to video page and click on resolution of choice, I clicked 1080p

Step 2: Video opens in default player in browser, this is important. Click on the flashgot icon that appears below

Step 3: Video download begins in your default download manager, mine is wget

"clicking on the link leads to nowhere"

You mean the video links? Please be more specific. As you can see from the screenshots above I managed to download the video using flashgot to capture the url.

My browser never reaches to step 2. If I get that small flashing icon for Flashgot, I'd be more than happy but nothing happens.

Ok sorry. Maybe it's an OS specific problem.
I tested on Firefox 3.0.11 on Ubuntu 9.04 using FlashGot 1.1.9.8, and mplayer/mozilla-mplayer
Will test on a Windows XP VM and get back.

Ok I tested on Windows XP SP3 + all patches till date, with the following third party software:

Klite Mega codec pack 5.0.0
Qtlite 2.9.0
Firefox 3.5.1
Flashgot addon 1.1.9.8

I clicked on a thumbnail, then 1080p. Follow the sequence of pictures

Thanx man, I was missing QT thingy, I thought K-Lite covered that too as it plays Quicktime files too.
