Default LAN problem

I have a desktop and a laptop both running on windows xp with service pack 3 and connect with an ethernet wire.I can access files on my desktop through laptop but whenever I try to access files on my laptop through desktop then I immediately get an error stating that I have no access due to restriction, even though I have set file and printer sharing checked in the lan settings.
What is the reason for this problem.
I use comodo firewall as my firewall.

Default Re: LAN problem

Hi,
Check the firewall settings of comodo firewall and set exclusion for your desktop's IP address so that firewall will allow desktop's IP for file transfer.
