Question Wi-fi with Reliance Broadnet: Troubles!!!

Hi people,

I would appreciate if u cud help me.

I have a Linksys WRH54G router and a direct to PC Reliance Broadnet connection of 300kbps (Annual Plan which began in April).

I had set up a wi-fi network with my previous MTNL Broadband. When I connected the Reliance broadband cable to my wireless router and the router to the computer, I couldn't login (which is neccesary to access internet thru reliance) and the error was 'Authentication Failed'.

Please help quickly as I need my network to be running up quickly!!

Thanks in advance...

Hi,

the linksys router need to be config with automatic config-DHCP, if u are able to go online with pc connected with internet modem.
if u are creating a dialup conn with the username and password given by reliance, u need to config linksys with PPPoE and config name and password on router

u can config linksys with typing 192.168.1.1 on IE, default username is blank, password "admin"
i assue u do not need to change any wireless settings

Enable DHCP first. You might also have to use the MAC cloning feature on your router. It should be under the Setup menu itself.
