Post Delay in pc boot

I recently purchased PC with following specs
i7 920 process of 2.67GHz,Mother Board intelDX58SO, RAM 1GBx3 of 1333MHz FSB Transcend , NVIDIA graphic card 9600 GS of 776MB,SATA 320 GB HDD, the monitor is Samsung syncMaster 920nw
KB & Mouse PS2 into USB loaded with WinXp Proff 64bit experimentally, PS is Zebronics 600 Watt. DVD writer is connected at SATA0, HDD on SATA1.
Problem is "display starts after 90 s & shows message Adapter 1,Disk information:
No hard disk detected!"

thereafter it takes 80 s for which screen remains blank to start windows. Win takes about 30 s to launch.
there is nothing more is loaded on it at present.
plz tell why is it so long to boot. & why the message of no disk detected comes. What is wrong with it?
Plz help early.
thanks

this you might have done already:
change boot priority first to hdd. remove any cd/dvd except for bootable OS.

if this does not work :
try default settings for all cpu and ram voltages (generally the safe values), if the MB did come overclocked from the factory.

still another method:
try fixing mbr by FIXMBR command from the recovery colsole of xp bootable cd....

1394 net adapter is the IEEE name given to firewire port (firewire is the name given by apple to it).
e-SATA is used to connect external hdd.

firewire can be used to connect hdd that support firewire like Segate 1TB drive or some printers or fast ethernet cables for high-speed local connectivity.

e-sata is provided with laptop hdd for external connectiviy example Hitachi hdd with Dell XPS series

Thank you very much. I searched for e-sata, but none of them were informative.
