Default ERROR

Hi guys

I have win xp pro sp3

The Problem is when I double click on any disk drive I get access denied.
But If I right click and explore or open , works fine.

and also when i try to OPEN an email attached PDF file it gives the following error message "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action , Create an association in the folder options control panel."

Help Me in rectifying these problems

1. You are infected by autorun.inf viruses which is executed as soon as you double-click. To rectify the problem you'll have to delete the autorun.inf file from the root of the partitions. You can manually delete it by opening the drive or by using any anti malware software.

2. Download the following http://windowsxp.mvps.org/utils/PPSFix_2_1.zip and fix the file type.

The software u mention cannot associate pdf file it can only associate pps or a ppt file

PPSFix - Description
====================

PPSFix utility fixes a problem where users receive file association
errors when opening a PPS or a PPT file attachment directly from
Outlook Express. This utility adds the "open" verb for PPS and/or
PPT file types to resolve the error.

Fo to tools>options
In view tab select "View Hidden Files & Folders" & also the 2 checkboxes excatly below it( 1 of them being show system files.....
Now explore to the drive you want & then delete all the autorun.inf there (do for all drives)
LogOff & Logon again
Incase the problem persists then use some antispyware to remove registry infections
