How to remove a particular portion from a 720p MKV file ?

I need to remove a 5 min video portion from a 720p MKV video.The 5 min part that I want to remove is in between the main video.How can I do this ?

u need a video cutter s/w like Sony vegas , Adobe Audition , etc..

And the file being 720P it will take a lot of time processing if ur ram is low and cpu is slow.

"MKVtoolnix" is what you want. After you load up the video select "Global", there you can mention time/size/frame whatever your choice is.

I cant open the MKV file in VirtualDub....Its doesnt support MKV
