Default Virus attack!!!!!!!

Hi
I have got a hacktool.rootkit virus in my pc. It is infecting the file msdirectx.sys which is in the windows folder. My norton antivirus is not able to repair it and tells that access is denied. I have updated all my definitions but still no luck. I also tried deleting the file but cannot do so.
Please help!!!!!!!!!

well guys i finally removed it................. i feel so good ...........yeah

here's wat i did:-
i opened the task manager and found a process running with the file name of the infected file. so i killed the process and then deleted the file........
this also made the msdirectx.sys file go away and now the virus has gone forever so simple....eh?

N-E-way thanks guys
