1. Processor-: AMD Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition 2. Motherboard-: Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-US2H 3. Memory-: Kingston 2GB 800MHz 4. HDD-: WD 320GB Now the problem is when we installed all the components first day then i found that the RAM is faulty and after that i use my Kingston 1GB 667MHz and the system gives the display now. After that i try to install XP on the system but i have only one CD of window XP which has some Scratches but i install it`s first round after skipping many system files during copying process, and when the next phase start then it gives some sort of memory error. Now i tell him that i will install the window on my PC in his HDD for him. he agrees and i successfully install the windows on my PC (i.e. Intel Pentium D 3.0GHz, Intel original mothrboard 946GZIS). After that i take his HDD to his home and attached it with his mothrboard, everything is fine but the major PROBLEM which i am facing now is that the window which i install at my PC and also which is working fine on my PC, is not working there. Everytime i boot system restarts, but when i try to boot in safe mode then it is running fine. I am very much frustrated now. Everybody is saying that i made a wrong choice by choosing AMD over intel. But my friend is very supportive, he says that he is not listening to anyone. TILL DATE My friend`s system is not started (i.e. 5 days from the date of purchase). PLEASE TELL ME WHERE AM I WRONG IN WHOLE THIS PROCESS AND ALSO SOLVE MY PROBLEM. IF POSSIBLE PLAESE TELL ME HOW TO BOOT MY FRIEND`S WINDOW IN NORMAL MODE. EVERYTIME I TRY TO BOOT IN NORMAL MODE IT RESTARTS AND WHEN I TRY TO BOOT IN SAFE MODE THEN IT WORKS FINE. PLEASE SOLVE MY PROBLEM.

It "may" happen that the s/w u installed in his HDD, on ur PC are some h/w bound. Due to change of H/W they are conflicting now.
And, in safe mode a lot of services ans s/w stays disable, so there is a chance safe mode won't be a problem. I would advice you to install XP again in ur friends PC. Isn't it possible??

btw, to check the h/w stability, try to use any live cd of linux and check if the system (with his ram) is able to boot or not. If it is, then you need to get a good copy of windows.
Also, did you try to use Windows 7 or vista?

also, don't listen to those ignorant n00bs who say that the problem is due to AMD. I am using the same mobo and CPU and I have installed XP and win7 and also overclocked my rig by 500MHz. Still it's stable.

yes the system is stable now but one of the audio drivers are not installed i tried so many times but always there is a failure in the installation. BUT the sound card is working, so i think no worry about the drivers.

Run a full windows update first before telling about driver missing issues. In 90% of casesthat fixes the problem.
