Default Windows 7 RC1 in .htm format?

Hi, I have just finished downloading Windows 7 RC1 from the microsoft's website. After downloading I found that the file is in .htm format instead of .iso as told by microsoft. What has gone wrong? Since torrent were not available for this file hence I had used Flashget to download this. Is there any way to know if all the relevant files have been downloaded correctly (like any md5 checksum)?

I have extracted the files using 7-Zip and burnt them on the DVD. On DVD it is showing 2.37 GB. But the DVD is not bootable (which it should be).

Why did you extract the files?? Just rename the HTM file with an ISO extension and burn it directly using a DVD burning program. Make sure you select to burn an image rather than data, from among the options in that program.

I have already tried that but on doing so Nero gives an error message saying that it is not recognizable (DVD) format and hence the DVD cannot be burnt. It was due to this reason that I decided to extract the files and then burn the DATA DVD. I was able to start the installation but while inflating the Windows 7 files the installation hung at 27%. Does this mean that that the downloaded file is corrupted?

Why don't u use Torrent???

Like Add the Torrent and then replace the Torrent File with this ISO File which u downloaded from Flashget....

i think it would work and Torrent will check the file and replace any corrupted part of the same.....

I thought of going to torrent sites but then many tech websites reported that Win 7 through many torrent sites (especially famous ones like PirateBay) were hosting infected version of Win7 which can easily compromise the system - especially with not much effective anti-malware s/w currently available for Win7.
