windows media player 10 problem

when it starts it gives a message

windows media player is not installed properly
download it from microsoft site

when i try to reinstall from any installation(this month dvd or auto patcher)i get message

this version of windows media player is incompatible with current version of ur windows update!!!!!!

can some one help me out

to work around ur problem... go to control panel.... then remove the WMP 10.... reinstall it....

u r saing u have WMP 10 installed but its not in the list.... strange.... very strange...

ohhhh.... did u checked the show update box?? u can find over the top of the Add/Remove window....

well did u removed the entry from the uninstaller & then try a reinstall?? ur soppose to uninstall the WPM10 then reinstall it....

have u tryed that??
