system becomes unstable on right clicking

hello friends my os windows xp p4 recently my system hangs on right clicking a file.please offer me a solution

It is a shell problem download shexview and disable the shells in 50 combination or more and check each time whether it works for u or not. and if it works only disable the shell which is causing the problem and enable other shell
