Which XP is Good among Home & Professional

Hi, I was going to install Windows XP Pro 32 Bit. But my brother told me that XP Home Edition is good & virus hardly invade it, is it true??. Also BSOD keeps occurring in Pro Edition regularly.

So Please suggest that which Edition of XP is Ideal among Home and Pro in all aspects. I used to surfing & doing 3DS Max.

Also please refer separate link to download Normal full edition of Windows XP. & Separate link with Service Packs.

XP Home Edition is cheaper and sufficient for basic home users and even for small offices... XP Professional is costlier and has a few additional features that were trimmed down in the Home Edition.

For your purpose, Home Edition is sufficient. Virus problem does not depend on whether you have Home or Pro edition - viruses affect both the same... Same for BSODs... However, whether you get legal version or not will matter... Getting legal copy of XP Home is more difficult now, but XP Pro is easier to get...

This forum frowns on piracy and hence no links for downloading XP will be given...

PS: If you use the computer only for surfing and 3dsmax, and you are not particular about using 3dsmax, but can use other similar software, I suggest you try Linux which has free alternatives like Blender to 3dsmax... It is practically virus-free and crashes should also be less...

Also please refer Legal download link of XP-Pro @ Microsoft web Site from where only Windows XP can be downloaded (No Service packs).

Go wid XP Pro....U'll get more features thr.....n its more future proof....

U can try linux too.......its free, free frm virus, less crashes.....provides gr8 alternatives......and avb all u r not doing piracy.......!!!!!
