Default Email Client query...HELP NEEDED


I am using Microsoft Office outlook 2007 as my basic email client.I hav configured my gmail email ID & its perfectly working alright.I can send & receive mails......but only from the date i configured my client.
my question is ...is there any way to download the mails the i hav receieved befire configuring mail client?...bcos whenever i need to reffer old mails i need to log on to the gmail website & login.So is there any way to download "ALL" mails from the inbox of my gmail??


Thanx in advance...Help needed urgently..

in gmail page go to settings. click on forwarding and pop. at the bottom there is an option "enable pop for all mail", check this. next time you start outlook, all mails will be download. be warned though, this can consume a lot of bandwidth.
