Wink Re: how to enable usb

Tweak the Registry...

Start | Run | 'Regedit'

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\USBSTOR\

Then Goto Start in the Right Pane and Change the Value to 3.

Remember you need Admin rights to Open Registry Editor

They can also be disabled in the BIOS, and if they are, you need to either know, or reset the password, by taking the battery out or setting a jumper.

Thumbs up Re: how to enable usb

THe USB ports, CD/DVD access is dependent on User log-in. In my office I've checked d BIOS first and found everything is OK, only my account is not allowed to access USB or CD/DVD drive.

But, inzy, enabling ur USB drive without permission may land u in trouble if caught.

Remember, "Committing error is human nature but forgiving is not corporate policy" [there was a quote somewhat similar ]
