Default A new way to compress!

Sorry if im in the wrong category!
I am very curious to know, how in the world do people compress 3GBs ISO files to 500MBs or so!? I noticed that a lot of people do this but want to share that information and i cant find information on it using Google... I know they use the program called Kgbarchiver or Winrar but what settings do they use to succeed? I have used the highest compression settings using Kgbarchiver or Winrar but still the ISO file doesnt compress much!

Anyone Please Help!!!!?

1st of all, where hv u seen this type of ISOs. .?? coz its generally possible for game files and NOT ISOs (correct me if im wrong)...

But, kgb has insane decomprssion times, like say it wud take more than 48 hrs to decompress a MS Office file shrinked to jus 20kb... and also, the end results after decompression are not ALWAYS favourable and ppl end up with corrupted s/ware..

You can try "UHarc", its more stable. I dont know still how they do it to that level

Best i have seen is WindowsXP 64bit "6 In 1" "ISO" (3.75GB > 10MB). And very working also

Sorry about the double threads!
I'm aware of the consequences of highly compressing files but i still want to learn how to...
I've tryed a Windows Vista i downloaded from a warez site and its only 80mb and when i decompress the .rar file it becomes a 700mb ISO file!!
When i try to compress a file myself using ANY compressing programs i really dont compress much! What am i doing wrong?

Anyone Please..?

@Krazy Bluez

Its 3.75 GB > 10MB

@drzpapi1985

Its not a one-click process. To my knowledge, they extract off the original data then compress file by file (compression level depends on the type of file) and reverse the process.

Thats lot of patience & "little" knowledge. I dont have both, to add

LOL thats impossible and has not been done till now ..........its a rumor only .

the fact is , the highest compression achieved was by WinRK back in 2008 which was a record by its author malcom taylor (i know him personally too) .

Refer this thread by me : -
http://thinkdigit.com/forum/showthre...ighlight=winrk

In 2009 , the record was broken by Paq 8 , the command line compressor , .

KGB dont stand a chance against winrk and paq8 .

moreover kgb uses paq 6.1 engine .

more info here

Thanks

I got a GTA IV of 12MB. It was in KGB. I left it for decompression. After 12 hours I saw that it couldn't even uncompress a Readme file. What a piece of crap!!

ok the squeezecharts for 2009 are out !

here's the link !

http://www.squeezechart.com/

NOW DONT GET FOOLED BY SOMEONE IF HE TELLS HE HAS 10 MB OFFICE XP ORANY OTHER BLAHBLAH .

even though if you get 12 mb file , its a crap and its there to fool you , it will never work .

ok here's example .
open notepad
type this 00000000000000101111111111111111111111111110000000 00
copy it and paste it thousand times until you get a 100 mb file .

now use winrar or nanozip , compress it , you get some kb file , isn't it ?
its called PWCM algorithm ...........

so guys believe in your own not on rumors

UHARC compression is really slow , heres a solution , use nanozip , faster than uharc and faster decompression and also better compression .
