folders dont open

I have a dell vostro 1510 laptop winth windows x 64 installed in one partition and windows 7 in another.Recently i installed a program universal shiel by everstrike.
oflate many of my folders are not opening even though i did not give any file for protection whenever i try to open,copy,cut,the files or folders a meassage pops up saying i need administrative priviledges to open the file even though i am the admin.as they were not opening in xpx64 i moved to windows 7 and on seeing tje properties of the file i saw that it did not have any owner and so i re enabled the owner but still the problem persists.i even uninsalled the universal shield but still nothing hapned

May be the program in not uninstalled correctly and is blocking your account.

1. Try Revo Uninstaller and try to uninstall it completely as it may have some registry entries left.

2. Try a Antivirus scan or install the program named NoobKiller and do a 8-X kill. If there is any malware, it will clear them all.

3. If it doesn't help, then you will have to uninstall windows and reinstall it again.

If the ownership has gone then try creating another administrative account and try again...it's just like if you give permission to yourself then you can open " System Volume Information" !
