utorrent port not forwarded

hey
whatever port i try to forward in utorrent speed guide it shows error and so i am not able to get high speed of downloads it is around 3-5 kBp/s whereas it should be around 25-30kBp/s


plz help me.........(my network card is REALTEK RTL8139 on WINDOWS XP)
and on one of my friend's computer the utorrent shows downloading but downloading dosen't starts and is always 0.00%


and yes what do the seeds and peer refer to???????:roll:

Its not your network card of OS which needs some work, its the Router / ADSL modem which you are using needs the tweak, which is called Port Forwarding..

wat router u have ? also, PF shud be supported by ur ISP too..

SEEDS: (SEEDERS) are those ppl (well, actually ppl with computers) that hv the full 100% of the product (software) and they upload (seed) for others (leechers) to share..

PEERS: Seeders (ppl having the complete 100% of the s.ware)+Leechers=Peers..

i am using sify broadband without any modem (i don't know as there is only network card in my pc which is connected via lan) and the ports used to worked perfectly until i formatted my computer and installed sp3

Sify does block Ports to throttle bit torrent traffic , hence as its pointed out by ashu888ashu888

its our ISP which is blocking the ports

How about forcing encryption? that is supposed to fool the ISPs.
