Thumbs up Reinstalling WinXP without activting again!!


HI friends!!
I have a licensed copy of windows xp SP2
installed on my computer( dual core 2GHZ, 1gb ddr2, 160gb HDD)
The os has become unstable and keeps crashing.
can anybody tell me how to reinstall the OS without having to reacctivate?

no way. connect to the net and activate it. or get any old version of win xp and install the latest sp.

Yup. Though You will have to inform CC that you have reactivated your XP

I had read on some website that if we make a backup
of certain files of a comp which is already activated
and then restore these files on the newly installed
comp we do not have to activate it again.

I think there was an article on digit about this long time back..
I dont remember which issue. Any ideas.???

Sorry but the fact is that you can reinstall xp without activation (without using crack, of course....)

Instead of reinstalling it, try the repair option.
